Purpose

Steve Hall Digital accepts limited advertising and sponsorships to support the continued production of independent, educational content. This policy explains how paid placements are handled and how they differ from affiliate relationships and editorial content.

 

Advertising & Sponsorships

Advertising and sponsorships are paid placements. These may include banner ads, sponsored sections, newsletter placements, or other clearly designated promotional opportunities.

 

Key principles:

  • Paid advertising does not imply endorsement unless explicitly stated.

  • Sponsors do not influence editorial opinions, recommendations, or independent content.

  • All advertising and sponsorships are clearly labeled as "Advertisement," "Sponsor," or "Sponsored."

 

Advertising relationships are governed by separate written agreements or insertion orders, not affiliate agreements.

 

Sponsored Content

Sponsored content is content for which compensation is provided and that may appear alongside editorial content.

 

Sponsored content:

  • Is clearly disclosed at the point of consumption

  • Maintains editorial integrity and honest opinion

  • Does not guarantee positive coverage or outcomes

 

Steve Hall Digital retains final editorial control over all sponsored content.

 

Affiliate Relationships

Affiliate relationships are performance-based partnerships where compensation may be earned if a reader takes a specific action (such as clicking a link or making a purchase).

 

Affiliate links:

  • Are disclosed in accordance with FTC guidelines

  • Do not increase the cost to the reader

  • Reflect tools, products, or services I personally use, trust, or believe provide value

 

Affiliate relationships are governed separately from advertising and sponsorship agreements.

 

Editorial Independence

Editorial content is created independently and is not influenced by advertisers, sponsors, or affiliate partners. Opinions expressed are my own.
